Hailey is ready to reveal her standing with Justin Beiber after 2years of their short-lived romance

More than two years after their short-lived romance and subsequent falling out, Hailey Baldwin is opening up about where she stands with Justin Bieber today.

Hailey Baldwin almost lost an important friendship when she broke up with Justin Bieber. The two didn’t end on the best terms when they broke up at the beginning of 2016, and now, she’s dishing all about the split — and their reconciliation. “I met him when I was really young and he was one of my best friends,” she told The Sunday Times. “Everybody knows that at a certain time that turned into something else, but that just happens when you’re 18, 19. It was what it was. We went through a long period of time when we weren’t friends.”

The two didn’t speak for “quite some time” during their fallout, according to Hailey, but now that a couple of years have gone by, they’ve both moved on. “There was a lot of weirdness that went on. We moved past that,” the model said. “I’d never been through [a high-profile relationship] like that. But it brought us both to the realization that we just work much better as friends. He’s somebody I really cherish. Now, it’s a very mature situation. It’s good.”

Of course, these days, Hailey’s been linked to another high-profile popstar, Shawn Mendes. The two attended the Met Gala together earlier this month, but have since denied reports that they’re romantically involved. “We hang out and he’s super lovely and a very, very nice young gentleman,” Hailey expanded. “But I am single.”

That didn’t stop her from rockin’ out to Shawn’s Billboard Music Awards performance on May 20, though! Something tells us these two aren’t giving us the full story!

Bale’s future in Spain is in doubt after he said he needed to play more often following Saturday’s Champions League final win over Liverpool.

Tottenham had a buy-back clause inserted into the Wales international’s contract when he left to join Real for £85m in 2013

It offered Spurs the opportunity to match any accepted bid from a Premier League club for Bale, 28.

However, the forward has a contract with the Spanish giants until 2022 and is thought to earn more than £400,000 a week after tax.

It means his likely transfer fee and wages would make a Tottenham bid unrealistic.

Bale will make any decision on his future in conjunction with his advisers.

In the short term, they intend to wait until the dust has settled on his man-of-the-match performance in Kiev before deciding their next course of action.

I need to be playing every week-bale

It is not completely out of the question he might stay at the Bernabeu but, after winning the Champions League on four occasions with Real, the player is not willing to accept a bit-part role in Zinedine Zidane’s squad.

Although the clamour for Bale should he decide to leave Spain would be huge, very few clubs could match his present financial demands.

Manchester United have been linked with the 28-year-old frequently over the past few years but invested heavily in Alexis Sanchez in January, after which manager Jose Mourinho said he would be concentrating on strengthening in other positions during the summer transfer window.

Manchester City appear to be more interested in renewing their interest in Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez, whilst Chelsea’s uncertain managerial situation makes a move to Stamford Bridge more complicated in the short term.

Away from England, Paris St-Germain have the finances, and Bayern Munich and Juventus have the pulling power, to be viewed as potential destinations.

Mario Balotelli scored as Roberto Mancini made a winning start as Italy boss against Saudi Arabia.

Former Manchester City and Liverpool forward Balotelli marked his first international appearance for four years with a superb solo goal.

Andrea Belotti put away a loose ball for Italy’s second before Yahya Al Shehri pulled one back for World Cup-bound Saudi Arabia

Ex-Man City boss Mancini was appointed head coach earlier this month.

The 53-year-old, who led City to their first Premier League title in 2012, took over after Gian Piero Ventura was sacked following Italy’s failure to qualify for the World Cup.

Saudi Arabia will be in Russia though and face the hosts in the competition’s opening game in Moscow on 14 June, before going on to play Uruguay and Egypt in Group A.

Balotelli, 27, who plays for French club Nice, had not featured for Italy since the 2014 World Cup, where he scored in the 2-1 group-stage win over England.

But his international career could be revitalised under Mancini, for whom he played under during his three-year spell at City.

He jinked past a Saudi defender on the edge of the area before firing home the opener from 20 yards in the friendly in St Gallen, Switzerland.

It was Italy’s first match since Juventus keeper Gianluigi Buffon announced he would no longer play for the national side after 176 appearances.

But his young replacement Gianluigi Donnarumma could do little to prevent Saudi Arabia’s late consolation as he was left stranded when Chelsea’s Davide Zappacosta gave away the ball to allow Al Shehri to score

This how Tristan plans to get khloe back on track after the NBA season

khloe-kardashian-and-tristan-thompson-lounge-by-pool-gallery.jpg

Tristan Thompson has a major plan to strengthen his rocky relationship with Khloe Kardashian once his current season of playing basketball with the Cleveland Cavaliers is over. Find out how here.

Tristan Thompson, 27, is ready for his rocky relationship with Khloe Kardashian, 33, to strengthen after his cheating scandal and he has a serious plan on how to do it. “It’s been a stressful and exhausting few months, for both of them, but Tristan has promised to take Khloe away when it’s all over so they can get everything back on track again,” a source close to the Kardashians EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife. Since the birth of baby True, just over a month ago, Khloe and Tristan have remained in Cleveland, OH and have been putting all their focus on the precious bundle of joy so a vacation may very well be a great idea. The location Tristan has in mind for their getaway has yet to be known but we have a feeling no matter where it ends up, the situation will definitely have the potential to bring the new parents closer together!

Their closeness already seems to be somewhat in tact. Despite the massive negative exposure Tristan received after it was revealed that he allegedly cheated on Khloe during her pregnancy, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star has seemingly decided to stand by her man. She has been attending some of his basketball games with the Cavs and the two have been seen hanging out on dates together.

The time they’re spending together also seems to be bringing up a lot of emotions within Khloe too. The mom-of-one has been posting various quotes to her Instagram account over the past couple of weeks and a lot of them seem to hint towards what she’s been going through. One of the most recent ones read, “You can be a good person, with a beautiful spirit, and still possess the authority to tell someone: ‘you got me f****d up’.” No matter what happens with these two in the future, we hope they go with whatever makes them happy and wish them all the love they can get!

Real Madrid overtaken by Barcelona as Europe’s top club – new data

Real Madrid beat Liverpool in the Champions league final to win the competition for a third successive year
Real Madrid beat Liverpool in the Champions League final to win the competition for a third successive year

Real Madrid might have won a 13th European Cup but they have been overtaken by rivals and La Liga victors Barcelona as the continent’s top club, according to new data.

In a Euro Club Index compiled by sports data company Gracenote, Liverpool – who were beaten by Real in Saturday’s Champions League final – move up eight places to 11th.

Premier League champions Manchester City are England’s highest ranked side at number three, with Tottenham in ninth and Manchester United 10th

The rankings are produced from results over the past four seasons, but the most recent campaign carries a weight of about two-thirds.

Chelsea dropped five places to 12 after the defence of their Premier League title ended with them finishing fifth, although they did win the FA Cup.

Arsenal were sixth in the Premier League and dropped from 11th to 15th – sandwiched between Sevilla and Shakhtar Donetsk.

Huddersfield Town were the biggest movers after achieving top-flight safety as they moved up from 232nd to 171st, while Burnley, who will be playing in next season’s Europa League after finishing seventh, rose from 116th to 68th.

The biggest decline came from Stoke City as their relegation to the Championship saw them go from 83rd to 115th.

How does it work?

  • Teams collect or lose points depending on the result of each match, both domestically – including cup competitions – and in Europe, but the amount of points depends on the gulf between the two sides.
  • For example, a home Chelsea win against Sunderland is worth very few points, in contrast to a Crystal Palace win at Stamford Bridge.
  • There is an extra bonus for an entire league if one of its clubs performs well in Europe.

Premier League catching La Liga

The top 100 of Gracenote’s Euro Club Index contains clubs from 20 different countries.

“La Liga and the Bundesliga still have more clubs in the top 100 than the Premier League,” said head of analysis at Gracenote Simon Gleave.

“But an analysis of the best 18 clubs in each league reveals that the Premier League has overtaken the Bundesliga in terms of the average quality of those 18 clubs.

“La Liga is still the strongest with an average Euro Club Index rating of 2,906 for its clubs (down from 2,925 last season) but the Premier League is now second (2,807 up from 2,770) with the Bundesliga third (2,695 down from 2,798).

“With such a drop in quality within the Bundesliga, Serie A may be able to overtake the German competition next season.”

Barcelona won La Liga by 14 points, as well as the Copa del Rey, this season, while Real were third in the league – 17 points behind their great rivals – although they claimed a third Champions League in succession.

The two clubs have dominated the Spanish top-flight along with Atletico Madrid but it seems the gap between them and the rest could be narrowing.

“La Liga’s quality remains high, despite a drop in Euro Club Index ratings for all of the competition’s best four clubs – FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Sevilla,” added Gleave.

“This indicates that the general standard of the next best 14 clubs has risen which can only be good for the league.”

32-year-old virgin who has never been kissed reveals the struggles she faces – and explains why she’s still single

32-year-old virgin who has never been kissed reveals the struggles she faces - and explains why she

A 32-year-old woman has revealed that she has never been intimate with anyone and hasn’t even kissed, let alone have sex. However, she says it’s not something she’s ashamed of.

The anonymous Australian woman told Mamamia that she doesn’t think there’s anything “wrong” with being a virgin and she doesn’t worry that she isn’t “worth liking”.

She explained: “It wasn’t a conscious decision. I, like many people, definitely want to find a person to love and respect who will reciprocate that.”

She pointed out that she isn’t picky, despite the fact that most people might jump to that conclusion. She also said she has been attracted to both men and women but she has remained a virgin because most of the people she’s been attracted to are people already in relationships, so she doesn’t act on her feelings.

“Let’s also put aside anyone I wasn’t attracted to. I probably could have forced myself into a drunken tryst or one-night stand just for the sake of experience, but the idea of it was always so unappealing to me and still is,” she wrote.

She compared it to going for an internal medical exam, but without the health benefits.

She also said she has met up with random people who caught her attention at a cafe or an event, but none of them resulted in anything further. As for people in her social circle she’s attracted to, she’s too scared that sharing her feelings will make them uncomfortable.

In the past, she told two of her friends that she liked them and although the first had a negative effect on her, she soon realized her resilience when it comes to not being liked in a romantic or sexual way.

“When I was rejected the second time in my late twenties, I could definitely see the positives – being rejected helps you know where you stand and stops you wasting time wondering,” she explained.

She said that the main barriers to starting a relationship are finding someone who is single, working up the confidence to share her feelings, and trusting the other person enough.

$16bn project: ”Heaven will not fall if Obasanjo is ‘prosecuted, jailed’ forever” Professor Itse Sagay says

$16bn project:

Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC), Professor Itse Sagay, has declared that heavens won’t fall if former President Olusegun Obasanjo “is prosecuted and jailed” should he be found guilty in the alleged misappropriation of $16 billion power project fund.

Recall that last week, President Buhari said the former president had questions to answer regarding the $16 billion he spent on the power project during his administration that has yielded little or no result. Over the weekend, there were reports that the EFCC will soon launch an investigation into the Obasanjo power project.

In an interview with Daily Independent, Sagay said if the need arises, former president will be prosecuted and jailed and the heavens will not faill. He said Obasanjo has over the years belittled himself by always disagreeing publicly with his sucessors.

”Heavens will not fall if Obasanjo is prosecuted and jailed if found guilty. In my opinion, this government has a very kind disposition towards former presidents out of respect.  The government doesn’t want to create the impression whereby a former president who is the image of the country is being brought to trial. It will look a sorry sight. But no one should challenge this government and then compel it too establish that those who are talking are not the best and they allowed a lot of dirt under them for which they are not being prosecuted” he said

Speaking further, Sagay said

”Why even go to the United States? Let’s look into Nigeria. How many times has Yakubu Gowon under whom Obasanjo served as a military officer criticise anybody?  I am sure when he has anything to say he will go quietly. How many times has Abdulsalami Abubakar criticised anybody? Even Ibrahim Babangida was quiet before, respecting himself until Obasanjo started pushing and egging him to speak. You could see it wasn’t natural with Babangida coming out to attack a successor.  So, this is an Obasanjo ego trip. He has to be the President-General forever. He is always envious of anyone who came in after him. He has to interfere to be relevant and you must allow him preside over the presidency otherwise there will be no  peace.  He didn’t allow Yar’Adua to rest; he didn’t allow Jonathan to rest now it is the turn of Buhari.  I think this tendency of putting your hands in the eyes of those who succeeded you really has to be stopped.  His shenanigans has to be stopped.  He went  to Afenifere, a group he has had nothing to do with for  years for support. He has to formed some artificial party ADC and all sorts of ridiculous associations thinking he can destabilise this government when he was allowed a free reign as president.  He got two terms and then wanted a Third Term. Nobody killed him for it even though that attempt failed woefully. So, I think Obasanjo should allow Nigeria to rest. He should give Nigeria peace. He should just go to his house and leave us alone. We have had enough of him”.

A migrant woman said to be a Nigerian on Saturday, May 26, gave birth to a healthy baby boy on board MV Aquarius, a search and rescue ship run in partnership between the international medical humanitarian aid organisation Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and SOS Mediterranee.

Baby Miracle was born in international waters at 3.45pm, with his mother rescued just days before on Thursday May 24 by an Italian navy vessel and later transferred to the Aquarius.

MSF midwife Amoin Soulemane, who delivered the baby said:

“For a first time delivery the baby came very quickly. The labour pain started early in the morning, but within just a few hours of active labour the baby was born. Both the mother and baby are doing very well.”

The new mother shared with MSF that she spent one year in Libya, where she says she was held captive, beaten, given very little food and extorted for money for release.

She says she escaped with her partner and hundreds of others earlier this year and had since been hiding in a friend’s house in Libya, before undertaking the dangerous sea crossing on Thursday.

MSF nurse Aoife Ni Mhurchu said, “The situation in Libya is extremely dangerous for refugees and migrants, with very little access to medical care. If she had gone into labour just 48 hours beforehand she would have given birth hiding on a beach in Libya, without any medical assistance.”

“She told me their boat actually departed on Wednesday but after a few short minutes the engine failed and they were returned to shore. The smugglers demanded they hide on the beach, then disappeared and didn’t return for 24 hours. At this point she was left terrified, heavily pregnant, and without food or water,” Ni Mhurchu added.

With the addition of baby Miracle, the Aquarius now has a total of 70 people on board, all of whom will disembark in the port of Catania, Sicily on Sunday morning.

Student surprises teacher with invite to her graduation 20 years after she wrote "invite me to your Harvard graduation" on her report card (video)

20 years ago, a 6th-grade teacher wrote in a bright student’s report card, “invite me to your Harvard graduation!”. Years later, just as the teacher predicted, the student graduated from Harvard and surprised her teacher by visiting her in class to invite her to her graduation.

Christin Gilmer graduated from Harvard as a doctor of public health. Prior to her graduation, she went back to her alma mater and surprised her teacher as she was in class teaching. As soon as the teacher saw Christin, she recognized her and was in shock, so much so that she had goose bumps all over her body.

They hugged and Christin reminded her of the kind words she wrote on her report card 20 years ago. She gave her a bouquet of flowers then told her she has come to invite her for her Harvard graduation.

On Christin’s graduation day, her former teacher was present and they posed together for a picture which has now gone viral.

Human traffickers plan to use 2018 FIFA World Cup to recruit and traffic Nigerian youths out of the country – NAPTIP

Human traffickers plan to use 2018 FIFA World Cup to recruit and traffic Nigerian youths out of the country - NAPTIP

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has said that some human trafficking syndicate are planning to use the forthcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia to traffic Nigerian youths out of the country.

The DG of NAPTIP, Dame Julie Okah-Donli, disclosed the development today during a press conference held in Abuja

“It has come to the knowledge of the Agency that some dishonest persons and network of human traffickers have concluded plans to use the forthcoming World Cup tournament tagged “Russia 2018” to recruit and traffic of Nigerian youths out of the country. Part of the plot is to float unregistered Football Supporters Club, Unofficial government delegation as well as unrecognized youth bodies and use such platforms to collect huge sums of money from some desperate youths with the promise to ferry them out of Nigeria using the world cup tournament. It was also gathered that these wicked traffickers with collaborators at the destination countries have also arranged with their cohorts in Europe to facilitate the defection of the victims out of Moscow.” she said.

Human traffickers plan to use 2018 FIFA World Cup to recruit and traffic Nigerian youths out of the country - NAPTIP

Furthermore, she drew the attention of the various Ministries of Women Affairs, departments of Gender and Social Welfare in the 36 States of the Federation including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to the upsurge in the nefarious activities of some unregistered orphanages and Baby Care Homes who now specialize in outright sale of children.

“It is sad to imagine that children that are brought to life with much joy and hope are deceitfully trafficked from remote villages under the pretence of giving them good life in the city only to be displayed as wares inside those unregistered structures called Orphanages and later sold for various purposes.” she said.

While urging the concerned government departments to review those laws that permit floating of orphanages at random even by people of questionable characters, she informed them that NAPTIP has commenced advocacy with the Legislative arms of government across the country with a view to expanding its oversight roles in this regard.
