Joke:- It Will Repeat Itself

Joke:- It Will Repeat Itself

An elderly man boarded a bus at a Bus Stop in Lagos heading home to Ikeja. Typical of Lagos bus stops, and the rushes by commuters to get on board, one of the commuters who boarded was this 80-year-old man, once on board he struggled and got a seat.

Just as he sat down, he discovered his wallet had been stolen from his back pocket. As the bus moved on quietly into the night, a loud voice was heard from the back of the bus, “WHOEVER TOOK MY WALLET SHOULD RETURN IT OR ELSE WHAT HAPPENED IN1967 WILL REPEAT ITSELF!”.

He repeated this again and again much louder. Sudden dead silence and fear engulfed the bus. Voices in whispers were heard on the bus asking, “What happened in 1967?”

Everyone in the bus started begging, “Whoever did this should please bring the wallet out.”

The man who stole the wallet became afraid, he quickly dropped the wallet and kicked it near the old man and in a short while, a young lady shouted pointing underneath the seats, “Sir, see the wallet.”

Great sigh of relief it was with the find. The old man came down at Ikeja and continued his homeward journey. An inquisitive young youth corper who was on the same bus, who also came down, walked briskly close and asked the old man, “Sorry sir, but what Happened in 1967?”

The man replied, “Son, in 1967 a similar event occured and you know what… I TREKKED HOME.”

Meghan Markle misses her old life and may divorce for the “third time”, foreign blogs claim

Meghan Markle misses her old life and may divorce for the "third time", foreign blogs claim

Meghan Markle has only been married for 2 weeks but foreign blogs are already predicting a divorce for her. There are also claims that this is her third divorce, not second as everyone’s been led to believe.

Hopefully, these are all speculations but multiple publications are making the same claim.

Radar Online claims Meghan is fed up with her new life and wants out. They claim she misses her old life, especially her life as an actress, and finds royal life a bit extreme.

Quoting a palace insider, Radar wrote:

Meghan hasn’t really adjusted well to her new role.

She misses acting and she misses Los Angeles. She misses her family, and her friends.

Meghan gave up everything for Prince Harry and although she’s madly in love with him, the Queen’s rules are a bit too extreme for her.

The source also claims Meghan is finding it difficult to get along with her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge.

The source added:

Kate is supposed to be Meghan’s tutor, but the two are very different. She will never live up to Kate’s standards.

The National Enquirer claims Trevor Engelson isn’t Meghan Markle’s first husband. They claim Meghan was married for the first time to a man she met at Northwestern University who now resides on the East Coast.

According to People Magazine, The Queen is trying to help Megan adjust to her new role. The two are scheduled to go on a solo trip 200 miles north of England later this month.

The report said:

“The Queen knows the potential pitfalls of not giving [new members] a guiding hand,”  Ingrid Seward, author of the recent biography of the Queen and Prince Philip, My Husband & I, tells PEOPLE in this week’s issue. “It’s all about the monarchy. She can’t expect Meghan to know everything without being shown.”

“She doesn’t want 70 years of hard work to be for nothing,” adds Seward. “I’m sure she feels Meghan needs a steadying hand in these early days.”

Lil Wayne reportedly bags eight-figure settlement in legal battle with Birdman, Cash Money and Universal Records

Lil Wayne reportedly bags eight-figure settlement in legal battle with Birdman, Cash Money and Universal Records

Rapper, Lil Wayne has finally come out victorious in his longstanding legal dispute against Birdman, Cash Money Records and Universal Records.

Recall that the two have been in a legal battle for a long period of time with Wayne accusing Birdman of owing him tens of millions of dollars, including an $8 million advance for “Tha Carter V,” plus $2 million once the album was finished.

As some point, Wayne threatened to terminate his Young Money label, which is under the Cash Money/Universal umbrella.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Wayne’s attorney, Howard King, filed a notice with the court on May 23 that all sides are ready to dismiss the lawsuit.

Sources say Universal wrote a big check to settle the suit and none of the money came from Birdman. The amount, is “well over $10 million.”

The Insiders also revealed that Universal was comfortable with the massive payment because they believe they will recoup the profits from Drake and Nicki Minaj going forward  a major part of what Wayne was suing over.

As part of the arrangement, Lil Wayne is now officially done with Cash Money and the infamous “Tha Carter V” album will now be put out by Universal, according to The Blast.

Man wrongly imprisoned for 25 years gets $10million as compensation

A Philadelphian man who was jailed for 25 years for a rape and murder he didn’t commit will be paid $10million as compensation.

In 1991, Anthony Wright was sentenced to life in prison in the USA for the killing of his neighbor, Louise Talley, 77. Louise was raped and repeatedly stabbed to death at her home and Anthony was indicted in the murder.

But the conviction was reversed in 2014 after DNA evidence pointed to a former crack addict who died in a South Carolina prison.

Wright filed a federal lawsuit accusing police of writing a false confession and coercing him to sign it without reading it, and planting other evidence used to convict him. A statement from Wright said he will never get over the years spent in prison or missing time with his mother and growing son, but he was relieved he could get on with his life.

N2.9bn Fraud: Court adjourns ex-Adamawa governor, Fintiri’s trial to October 4th

N2.9bn Fraud: Court adjourns ex-Adamawa governor, Fintiri?s trial to October 4th

Justice A. R. Mohammed of the Federal High Court sitting in Maitama, Abuja, has adjourned the trial of a former governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru also known as Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and one other, charged with N2.9billion fraud to October 4, 2018.

The adjournment was sequel to an application by Fintiri’s counsel, Mahmud Abubakar Magaji, SAN, seeking the release of the international passport of the first defendant to enable him to travel to Germany for follow-up on his medical treatment.

Fintiri, a former lawmaker, who also served briefly as the Acting Governor of Adamawa State, is being prosecuted on a 5-count charge of bribery and money laundering alongside Mayim Construction and Properties Limited, by EFCC.

He was alleged to have defrauded the Adamawa government by laundering money to the tune of N2.9billion through his naira and dollar accounts domiciled at EcoBank Plc. The defendant was also accused of making large cash payment for the purchase of landed property in Abuja during the three months period he held sway as the governor of the state.

The matter was adjourned to today, June 6, 2018 for continuation of cross-examination of the prosecution’s first witness, Ibrahim Welye, former Secretary to the Adamawa State Government, who in an earlier testimony, told the court that certain contracts awarded by the former acting governor, including the electrification of Kirshinga Village in Madagali Local Government Area of the State, had no approval.

It would be recalled that, Welye had in a petition dated May 11, 2015 to the EFCC, alleged that the first defendant (Fintiri) fraudulently diverted N497million meant for the construction of a lecture theatre for the Faculty of Law, Adamawa State University, Mubi, laying only the foundation and never completed the project.

Stephen Keshi’s son remembers him on his 2nd death anniversary today

Stephen Keshi

Today June 7th is the 2nd anniversary of the death of football coach, Stephen Keshi. The quintessential football coach died suddenly in Benin city in 2016.

His son, Stephen Jnr took to his IG page to pay him glowing tribute as he remembers him

”It was 2 years ago today when I received a call from Nigeria saying my pops had passed away. I miss him, we miss him, wish he could be here in the physical to meet Grayson but I know he’s here in the spiritual. He was a very happy and positive person so I feel it’s only right to celebrate this day with joy not sadness. World Cup Fun Fact: Stephen “The Boss” Keshi was the first Afro/Black/African coach to advance a team to the knock out stages of the World Cup, he is the only Afro/Black/African person to play and be a head coach in the knock out stages of the World Cup. When he achieved this he said, “this isn’t just for Nigeria this for all black and all Africans all over the world, this is for us.” My passion for connecting the diaspora and black empowernent stems from him. We are working on your biopic movie, may god bless us with the ability to deliver your message in the right way. Rest In Peace Pops, love you” he said
