Real Houswives of Potomac star, Katie Rost shared a graphic photo of herself lying in a pool of blood shortly after suffering a miscarriage.

 

The 38-year-old mother is going through a lot of problems at the moment. She recently announced that a New Jersey judge is trying to imprison her after she released footage of her ex-husband verbally abusing her and refused to delete it after the judge ordered her to. She has also lost custody of her kids to her allegedly abusive ex.

 

Sharing the photo of her naked body lying next to the toilet with blood all over the floor, Katie wrote “#MeToo”.

 

 

Immediately everybody thought this was a suicide attempt or worse, so her costars Karen Huger, Robyn Dixon and Candiace Dillard all took to the photo asking her to respond.

 

 

A few hours later, Katie then added a caption to the photo, explaining she miscarried and the photo was taken by her baby daddy, Jacob, who thinks “they” did this to her. By “they”, it is assumed she is referring to her abusive ex and the judge who’s trying to get her locked up.

Chicago police arrest two Nigerian brothers as suspects involved in Jussie Smollett’s homophobic attack (Photos)

Chicago Police has said that two potential suspects in the alleged racial attack on “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett have been arrested.

 

“Police can detain the potential suspects for an additional 24 hours past the 48 hour holding period under special circumstances, but it must go through the prosecutors office and has to be clear process,” Chicago PD told ABC News and also confirmed that “they (the suspects) have a relationship with Jussie”.

 

Chicago Police also added that “detectives have probable cause that they may have been involved in an alleged crime and we are working to corroborate the allegations and investigative timeline as our investigation continues”.

 

According to TMZ, the arrested men are brothers from Nigeria named Olabinjo and Abimbola Osundairo, and Chicago police are now calling them “potential suspects” as opposed to ‘persons of interest’.

They also shut down any reports that there was evidence to classify the alleged attack as a hoax.  “While we haven’t found any video documenting the alleged attack, there is also no evidence to say that this is a hoax. The alleged victim is being cooperative at this time and continues to be treated as a victim, not a suspect” police added.

 

Attorney Gloria Schmidt, who is representing the brothers told Chicago CBS station WBBM that her clients were detained at O’Hare Airport on Wednesday evening and were unaware of the attack on Smollett.

 

“When they first learned what happened to him, they were horrified. This is someone that they know, this is someone that they work with, so they don’t want to see somebody go through that. They really don’t understand how police even got information that linked them to this horrific crime, but they’re not guilty of it”  Schmidt said.

Violence erupts in Anambra state ahead of general elections

Barely hours to the commencement of the 2019 polls, Anambra state has recorded cases of election related violence.

A member of House of Representatives, Mr. Gabriel Onyenweife, who defected from All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, after failing to secure a ticket of APGA, had one of the houses in his compound set ablaze in the Ayamelum Local Government Area while 30 motorcycles he assembled for empowerment were razed.

Another victim of the violence was the member representing Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo federal constituency, Mr. Chirs Azubogu who lost a campaign vehicle to arsonists.

On Thursday, the divisional police station  at Ajali in Orumba North local government area of the state was gutted by fire.

Many policemen were beaten up before the station was set ablaze, while some vehicles parked at the station were burnt. Some detainees at the station were allegedly released by people suspected to be members of  Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, who moved into station immediately the fire started.

Ebonyi State Governor orders arrest of hoodlums who allegedly inserted hot-iron inside private part of Local Government Vice Chairman

Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi has directed the Commissioner of Police, Mr Awosola Awotunde, to fish out the criminal suspects, who allegedly inserted a hot-iron inside the private part of the Vice Chairman of Ikwo Local Government Area of the state.

Governor Umahi, who gave the directive on Thursday, when the new police boss paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House, Abakiliki. Umahi, expressed bitterness over the incident, and described it as “barbaric”.

“The hoodlums inserted a hot-iron inside the private part of the vice chairman, while they cut the tendons of some men in the area. I have demanded for the immediate arrest of the perpetrators and would never allow the matter to go untreated. I will follow the matter up to any level, even reporting it to President Muhammadu Buhari because the victims were actually kidnapped,” he said.

The governor said that he always insisted on fairness and justice to all and had never abused his office to order that anyone be punished unjustly.

“I have always maintained that whether it is the Peoples Democratic Party or All Progressive Congress, among others, the life of every human being is important to us.
“I hate to see blood and your officers can attest that I have never supported evil,” he said.

Umahi said that he had always propagated the philosophy “that all perpetrators of evil must be arrested and prosecuted, even if they are my brothers or sisters.”
He pledged to cooperate with the new CP but insisted that his work would only be made tedious, “if a man is made a woman.”

“Where there is fairness, there is no crisis as someone without a gun can neutralise another with a gun by insisting on his right, which should not be matched upon.
“The main opposition party in the state boasts it would write the election result and use the federal might on us but I declare that we pay the federal might.
“Everybody owns the federal might and the present Inspector-General of Police and the Director-General of the Department of State Service (DSS) do not break the law.
“We have actually prepared for this election with anti-terrorism trainings to guard against intimidation of the common man in the state,” the governor said.

South African Govt slam IAAF over plan to classify intersex Olympic champion Caster Semenya a ‘male athlete’

The South African government has slammed the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) over their plan to classify intersex Olympic champion Caster Semenya as a ‘biological male’ at a Court of Arbitration of Sports hearing next week.

This comes after The Times reported that lawyers for the athletics’ international body will argue that the 28-year-old South African should be allowed to compete in women’s events if, as transgender athletes do, she and other so-called ‘hyperandrogenic’ athletes or those with ‘differences of sexual development’ (DSD) will have to take contraceptive pills to lower their testosterone levels below a prescribed amount.

Reacting to the IAAF’s plan, South Africa’s Sports Minister Tokozile Xasa described the rules as ‘discriminatory’ as she launched a campaign in support of hyperandrogenic athletes.

 

 

‘These regulations appear to be specifically targeting Caster Semenya,’ she told a news conference.

‘What’s at stake here is far more than the right to participate in a sport. Women’s bodies, their wellbeing, their ability to earn a livelihood, their very identity, their privacy and sense of safety and belonging in the world, are being questioned.

‘This is a gross violation of internationally accepted standards of human rights law.’

The government on Friday launched a campaign dubbed#NaturallySuperior in a bid to drum up international support.

‘The world once declared apartheid as a crime against human rights. We once more call people of the world to stand with us as we fight what we believe is a gross violation of human rights,’ the minister added.

She called on individuals and organisations ‘intolerant of discrimination’ to add their voices to a movement ‘that condemns these discriminatory IAAF regulations which in their nature seek to unfairly exclude other sections of society from competing in sport,’ she said.

Tragedy struck on Friday morning when a tanker carrying gas exploded at Army check point along Onitsha/Owerri road in Ihiala local government of Anambra state.

A nearby celestial church was burnt down. A pregnant woman with her two children reportedly died in the explosion.

66 persons including children killed in Kaduna on election eve

No fewer than 66 persons have been killed by unknown gunmen in Kajuru local government of Kaduna state. This attack comes less than twenty four hours to the conduct of the presidential and parliamentary elections in the state.

Media aide of the Kaduna state Governor, Nasir el-Rufai, Samuel Aruwan, in a statement released on Friday evening, said already, security agencies are on the trail of the assailants.

The statement added that among the victims were 22 children and 12 women.

The Kaduna State Government has condemned the killing of 66 persons in Kajuru LGA and has warned all communities against instigating attacks or reprisals. A government statement said that security agencies have been deployed to the area, while arrests have been made.

“Security agencies today reported the recovery of 66 bodies that were killed in attacks by criminal elements on various dispersed hamlets in the Maro Gida and Iri axis of Kajuru LGA. The settlements affected include Ruga Bahago, Ruga Daku, Ruga Ori, Ruga Haruna, Ruga Yukka Abubakar, Ruga Duni Kadiri, Ruga Shewuka and Ruga Shuaibu Yau.

“Among the victims were 22 children and 12 women. Four wounded persons rescued by the security agencies are now receiving medical attention.

“Government condemns the attacks and commiserates with the families of the victims. Security agencies have been deployed to the area and arrests have been made. Government urges community, traditional and religious leaders in the area to encourage residents to avoid any reprisal attacks and to leave the matter in the hands of the security and law enforcement agencies. The killings are being investigated and residents are assured that indicted persons will be prosecuted.

“Residents of Kaduna State are enjoined to uphold peace and harmony, shun violence and allow the elections to be held in an atmosphere of calm. Any suspicious activity should be reported to the security agencies in person or through the following lines: 09034000060 and 08170189999.”

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has described reports on social media that he has fled Nigeria ahead of tomorrow February 16th Presidential election, as Fake News.

Reports have been rife on social media that the former president who is opposed to the re-election of President Buhari, has fled the country.

Speaking to newsmen in Abeokuta, Ogun state earlier today, the former president said he would stay in Nigeria and vote according to his conscience.

“Why should I travel out of the country before the election? If not for anything, I believe I should be here to perform my civic responsibility, which is to vote according to the dictate of my heart tomorrow and on the second of March. Those who are carrying that type of rumour or fake news; I leave them in the hands of God.

#SanwoLovesLagos: Sanwo-Olu celebrates Valentine’s Day with Lagosians, assures of quality service

Lagos was painted red with love yesterday, as friends of the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu organized a Valentine’s Day event with Lagosians, with the aim of spreading love, themed: ‘A Passion to serve’.

The events, took place at Abule Egba, Festac, Ikeja, Surulere, and Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos, and featured music, dance competition, pretty ladies in red, addressed as ‘Sanwo Angels’, handing out roses to Lagosians, and dance dramas that passed the ‘T.H.E.M.E’ message of Sanwo-Olu to Lagosians.

 

 

Sanwo-Olu in company with his running mate, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat surprisingly stopped by at the Ikeja venue, to a rousing welcome from supporters. Sanwo-Olu personally handed out roses to Lagosians, and also reiterated his plans for a greater Lagos.

And for our environment, LAWMA’s waste management system will be upgraded for better service delivery while we implement measures to turn waste to wealth and ensure a clean and healthy environment in Lagos,” he added.

The Ebonyi state police command have arrested two men for planting Improvised Explosive Devices, IEDs on Idembia bridge in Ezza South Local government Area of the state today Friday, February 15th.

The state governor, David Umahi, made this known in a special security situation broadcast to the people of the state today. The governor said the arrest followed intelligence reports that some members of a political party were planning to bomb bridges and other installations in the state.

“The report came to me as Chief Security officer of this state that a House of Assembly candidate went to quarry site to buy explosives and the people came and reported to us, they refused to sell to him. We had to immediately report to the security agencies and they have the name of the person. They moved into action to arrest the person and I have said they should declare him wanted. Subsequently, four hours later, we got information that a meeting was held and it was agreed to plant explosives in hotels, in flyovers and bridges including bridges built by past administration in the state.

“While we were still examining the authenticity of the information, Commissioner for Internal security called to say that the community and Neighbourhood Security Watch apprehended two people that have succeeded in planting explosives at Idembia bridge but they have not detonated it.

“They were still planting it, they went to the expansion of the bridge the weakest link to plant it. They have been apprehended and sent to the Army and the Army has sent them to the police. So, they are being investigated”.

The spokesman of the police command, Loveth Ogar, said the Police is investigating the matter.

The platform says the effort is to help amplify election-related information from legitimate sources and bring down ‘some problematic accounts’ ahead of Nigeria’s 2019 general elections.

Speaking with Business Insider Amy Rose, a Twitter spokesperson confirmed the suspension saying, “we have suspended a small number of accounts in Nigeria for spam violations as part of our election integrity efforts in the region. We will continue to monitor the conversation closely and take aggressive action pursuant to the Twitter Rules”.

 

Twitter says it is collaborating with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and domestic political party stakeholders to “ensure they have clear reporting channels to bring potentially problematic accounts or content to our attention.”

#NigeriaDecides: IGP orders restriction of vehicular movement on election day

The Inspector General of Police Adamu Mohammed has ordered restriction of vehicular movement on election day as part of security measures put in place for free and fair polls.

 

In a statement signed by the force PRO, Frank Mba, ‘as part of efforts in furtherance of the overall interest of public order, public wellbeing and safety and national security as it relates to the general elections billed to take place on Saturday, February 16th, 2019, the Inspector General of Police, Ag. IGP M.A Adamu, NPM, mni has ordered therestriction of vehicular movement from 6am – 6pm on Saturday, 16th February, 2019′.

The IGP notes that the restriction will assist the security agencies in effectively policing the electoral process, thereby preventing hoodlums and criminally-minded elements from hijacking and disrupting the electoral process.

He urges the citizens to troupe out en-masse on the day of the election to exercise their franchise without any fear or apprehension as the Police and other security agencies have already put in place adequate security measures to ensure a safe, secure and conducive environment for a peaceful and credible election.

While regretting the inconveniences the restriction will cause the citizens, the IGP however warns that the Force will deal decisively with any individual(s) or group(s) that will want to test our common will in our resolve to ensure a peaceful election.

He therefore enjoins the citizens to steer-clear of vote buying, vote selling, hate speeches, circulating fake news, snatching of ballot boxes and other act(s) capable of truncating the people’s will noting that the Force will not hesitate to bring to bear the full weight of the law on anyone who engages in any crime during this period.

A 44-year-old woman, Mayura Panichpongsapak,  shot her husband after he refused to explain a mystery call to his smart phone during a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner in Kalasin, Thailand.

Police arrived at a two story house on Friday morning and found Dr. Ratthasat Panichpongsapak, 45, seriously wounded with a gunshot to the head. His wife claimed that a  9mm gun went off by accident as they fought over clothes after she ordered him out of the family home.

 

 

The wife is a prominent businesswoman selling Pla Ra (fermented fish) while the husband has a doctorate and is a prominent figure in Kalasin educational circles.

Dr Ratthasat had been seriously injured on the right cheek. He was rushed to hospital after surviving the battery. On the floor was a 9 mm gun. Clothes were scattered all around.

Pol Col Thaweesak Raksasin of the Somdej police said that Mayura had told him that the couple had been out to dinner when her husband received a call on his smartphone. She asked who it was from and he was evasive.

 

 

Back at home the couple began arguing again and she ordered her husband to pack up his clothes and get out of the family home. He did so but then things calmed down until 4.30 am when the arguments resurfaced.

The wife said that the couple were grabbing and wresting over clothes when her husband’s gun in the pocket of a garment went off resulting in her husband being shot in the head. She immediately called the foundation rescue team.

 

 

She has been charged with attempted murder that could be changed dependent on the condition of the husband who is in a serious way in hospital.

The victim is on the executive board of a well know school in Kalasin. He is known as an innovative and forward thinking educationalist driving improved standards in the province.

The couple have two children – the eldest is a boy and the youngest a girl.

New tape shows R. Kelly having sex with minor – Lawyer says

The lawyer representing a porn star Stormy Daniels  in a legal battle with US President Donald Trump on Thursday, said his office has previously unreleased footage of R&B superstar R. Kelly having sex with a young girl, AFP reports.

Michael Avenatti said his team discovered the graphic tape as representatives of multiple clients linked to accusations against the American singer, who has faced allegations of sexual assault for decades.

However, Kelly denied the latest allegations on Thursday via his lawyer Steve Greenberg, who said “I have not been contacted by anyone connected with law enforcement, nor has R. Kelly.”

In a statement Avenatti said he gave the “new critical video evidence” against the artist to the Cook County State’s Attorney in Chicago, where Kelly, 52, lives.
“We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that this predator is brought to justice,” Avenatti, 47, tweeted.

The attorney has become a public figure since filing a lawsuit for adult film actress Stormy Daniels in March last year seeking to invalidate a 2016 non-disclosure agreement over an alleged affair with Trump in 2006.

He said the events shown in the footage fell within the state of Illinois’ statute of limitations.

The state’s attorney’s office told AFP it “cannot confirm or deny an investigation” but The New Yorker magazine, citing a law enforcement official, said an indictment is pending and Kelly could face arrest.

The tape, which is nearly 45 minutes long, is not the same video that saw Kelly face 21 counts of child pornography charges in 2002, a case in which he was acquitted six years later.

CNN, which obtained a copy of the new footage, described it as “clear and explicit.” The network said two scenes show a naked man who appears to be Kelly engage in several sex acts with a female who calls out “daddy.” The audio captured with the images suggests the girl is 14 years old.

In a statement the artist’s lawyer accused women who have spoken out against Kelly of doing so to “make a buck” and dismissed the latest allegations: “Mr. Kelly denies that he has engaged in any illegal conduct, of any kind whatsoever.”

“He would like to be able to continue to write and sing and produce and perform,” Greenberg said, adding that Kelly is working on an album. In this age of hashtags we are too quick to rush to judgment simply because something is associated with a hashtag. A hashtag does not make claims credible,” the lawyer said.

For decades the artist – real name Robert Sylvester Kelly – has faced lawsuits and accusations over child pornography, sex with minors, operating a sex cult and sexual battery.

In 1994 he wed his protege Aaliyah, the late R&B star who was 15 at the time.
Kelly, then 27, had produced the teenage singer’s debut album titled “Age Ain’t Nothing But a Number.” Their marriage was later annulled, and Aaliyah died in a plane crash in 2001.

Despite unsettling claims against him, the decorated musician – known for hits including “I Believe I Can Fly” — has continued to perform and maintain a solid fan base.

But last month’s release of an explosive docuseries entitled “Surviving R. Kelly” has shed new light on the R&B luminary’s checkered past, while a #MuteRKelly movement aimed at preventing his music from airing has gained steam.
The artist’s record company RCA dropped him last month following the release of the docuseries.

High-profile women’s rights attorney Gloria Allred is also representing several women with accusations against the superstar.

“Mr. Kelly is a predator and a criminal who has preyed on young, vulnerable girls for far too long,” Avenatti said. “The time has come for him to finally be held accountable for his actions.”

“We have 774 local governments in this country. They used to hold 17. They are not technically holding any local government now. But they are indoctrinating young men and women, especially girls, wrap them up with explosives and let them explode them in soft targets like churches, mosques, marketplaces, motor parks and other places.”

“We are doing our best (to contain the terror) and we thank some foreign countries in Europe and the United States for training our armed forces and going to the battlefront to see how they have performed.”
