A woman from Kijichi Mkoa in Western Zanzibar, Tanzania is nursing facial injuries after she was allegedly beaten up by her husband for allegedly refusing to have anal sex with him.
The victim says her husband has for long been pestering her for the unnatural act, but she has always rebuffed his advances.
According to the woman, Islamic practice does not advocate anal sex.The victim says her partner accuses her of being “naïve” on matters sex.
“He began demanding anal sex from me three months after our wedding. I told him: ‘no’; straight away! He, however, kept on urging me to give in to his demands. Even when I was seven months pregnant, he still wanted to have anal sex with me. I stood my ground, nonetheless,” the woman told Tanzania’s Mwananchi Newspaper .
The woman says her husband’s neighbours, who knew him even before she married him, told her that two other women abandoned him for demanding anal sex from them.
The accused, however, dismissed his wife’s claims, saying the fight between them broke out after his in-laws demanded a lot of money as dowry from him.
According to the suspect, his wife’s family mocks him for being “broke”.
Police are investigating the woman’s allegations.

The tomb of legendary philosopher, Karl Marx in Highgate cemetery in London has been vandalised for the second time in the space of a month.
The words “doctrine of hate” and “architect of genocide” were found daubed in red paint across the Grade I-listed monument in the north London graveyard on Saturday.
The latest attack comes less than two weeks after the marble plaque on the tomb was defaced by an apparent attempt to scrape and chip Marx’s name off the marble slab with a hammer.
At the time the group who manage the cemetery said they feared the memorial would never be the same again. Maxwell Blowfield, 31, who visited the cemetery this morning with his mother admitted he was “quite shocked” by the attack.

Blowfield who works for British Museum, said: “It’s a highlight of the cemetery. The red paint will disappear, I assume, but to see that kind of level of damage and to see it happen twice, it’s not good. I wouldn’t like to say who or why someone did it but it was clearly someone very critical of Marx and that part of history. I am just surprised that somebody in 2019 feels they need to and do something like that.”
German revolutionary philosopher Marx moved to London in 1849 and lived in the city for the rest of his life. His theories became the basis for communism before he died on March 14, 1883, aged 64. The granite slab monument in north London, 12 feet (3.7 metres) tall and topped with a bronze bust of Marx, was funded in 1956 by the Communist Party of Great Britain.
A debate is currently going on on social media regarding parenting and if it’s right for a parent to leave their child with a nanny to go clubbing.
The debate began after Gbenro Ajibade took to Instagram to accuse his wife, Osas Ighodaro of leaving their child with the nanny to go clubbing.

The Nigerian Army female team has emerged the overall first and third position at the 3rd Edition of the West African Military Semi-Marathon Tournament that took place at Niamey, Niger Republic on Saturday 16th February 2019.
The Semi- Marathon Event which was organised by the Niger Republic Defence Headquarters in conjunction with the West African Military Sports Organisation, featured male and female participants. It is instructive to mention that the Semi – Marathon was organised in the spirit of building friendship amongst the militaries of the West African Sub – Region.
The Nigerian Army presented marathoners in the male and female categories. Pertinent to mention that, the Nigerian Army was at the Marathon to represemt the Armed Forces of Nigeria. At the end of the Semi-Marathon, the Nigerian Army Female and Male Marathon Teams placed 1st and 3rd Positions respectively in the Team Evemts. In the Female Individual Events, the duo of LCpl Naomi Yunana and Pte Amos Unity won Gold and Silver Medals respectively.

New facts have emerged that the two Nigerian brothers who were interrogated by police investigating the alleged attack on Jussie Smollett purchased the rope that was found around the “Empire” actor’s neck.
Olabinjo and Abimbola Osundairo agreed to cooperate with authorities after detectives confronted them with evidence that they bought the rope allegedly used in an attack that Smollett described to police as laced with racial and homophobic slurs.
By Saturday evening, however, Chicago police said they were “eager to speak to Jussie Smollett” after the interrogation of the Osundairo brothers. “We have been in touch with Smollett’s attorneys,” said Chicago Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi told ABC News.

Empire star, Jussie Smollett reportedly paid two men to orchestrate an assault on him that he reported late last month.
According to two law enforcement sources with knowledge of the investigation who spoke to CNN, he actor paid two brothers to stage an attack against him, directed them to buy items used in the alleged assault and rehearsed it with them.
The men, who are brothers, were arrested and questioned by police on Wednesday but released without charges Friday after Chicago police cited the discovery of “new evidence.”
Chicago police spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi said:
“We can confirm that the information received from the individuals questioned by police earlier in the Empire case has in fact shifted the trajectory of the investigation. We’ve reached out to the Empire cast member’s attorney to request a follow-up interview.”
They were reportedly paid $3,500 before leaving for Nigeria and were promised an additional $500 upon their return.
They left for Nigeria later in the day on Jan. 29, after the attack.
Police raided the the brothers’ home on Wednesday, the same day police met them at O’Hare International Airport, as they were returning from Nigeria.
The sources stated that there are records that show the two brothers purchased the rope found around Smollett’s neck at a hardware store in Chicago.
One of the brothers reportedly held the rope and poured bleach while the other wore a plain red hat and yelled slurs at Smollett.
The sources say the red hat was bought at an Uptown beauty supply store and that the attack was supposed to happen before Jan. 29. The brothers who are now cooperating with police, stated that the all three of them rehearsed the attack days prior to it happening.
